Soccer Coaches, Soccer Camps, and Everything In Between

There are sports across the country that get children outdoors and active. One of the most popular sports across the globe is definitely soccer. Look no further than sky-high ratings for the world cup and English Premier League for verification. Now, more and more people want their children working with great soccer coaches at summer soccer camps and more. Here are all of the facts on soccer, coaches, and summer camps for soccer training.

The History Of Soccer

In the year of 1863, soccer was born in England. Now, it is important to note that literally everyone except the United States refers to soccer as football or fĂștbol. However, in America, we have our own version of football and we have settled on soccer.

A standard soccer game is going to feature 11 players on both teams with some players focused on offense, called strikers, and defensive players as well. There are also goalies on each side. The players can use only their torso, head, and legs to pass and move the ball whereas the goalie can use their hands to deflect and carry the soccer ball. The game will last around 90 minutes and involves lots of sprinting, running, jumping, and walking.

Soccer Camps Are Great For Young Children

The National Collegiate Athletic Association, more commonly known as the NCAA, has more than 350 men’s soccer coaches and over 480 women’s soccer coaches. The best way for parents to get their children involved with soccer at a serious level is by having them attend a summer camp. Soccer coaches will definitely look for this when it comes to adding players to a travel team and more.

Across the country, there are more than 14 million children and adults that are attending a camp or some sorts. Yes, there are full grown adults that attend camps as well. A survey was conducted amongst these children to reveal the results of these summer camps. These results are surely a big attraction for these kinds of summer camps.

In the aforementioned study, just about 92% of all campers stated that camp helped them feel good about themselves. Therefore, there are real emotional and self-esteem benefits that can come from youth summer camps. Also, this survey revealed that 96% of all participants stated that camp helped them make friends. So parents can trust that a camp will help their children enjoy their favorite sport as well as boosting their self-esteem and social skills.

Soccer Is Rising In Popularity Across America

Soccer coaches and soccer summer camps are in high demand because as previously mentioned, soccer is a huge sport. While the United States is just now catching on, soccer is the most popular sport in a majority of the countries around the globe. Imagine the popularity of our version of Football multiplied by ten and that is the best way to think about how other countries view soccer.

Over the course of the past five years, soccer has been on the rise in the United States. There are more soccer camps, soccer coaches, and soccer teams than ever before. As a matter of fact, a recent study determined that nearly 60% of all children involved in organized sports are playing their sports outside of school. This can deal with travel teams where young children travel far and wide to play other teams with no school affiliation.

Travel soccer is a huge deal but high school soccer is also on the rise as well. A recent study has revealed that an estimated 284,000 boys in the United States are involved with high school soccer. This same study revealed that over 200,000 girls across the country are also involved in high school soccer. Therefore, there is no reason to think that soccers popularity will go away anytime soon.

In Conclusion

Every year, soccer continues to grow in popularity. Therefore, anyone that wants their children to be active should give this sport some serious thought. After all, our football sport seems to be less and less popular due to the physical harm involved. Check out summer camps and soccer coaches near you!
